Hi there, today we’re notifying you about upcoming changes to the Shakr Creative Market. You might not have been aware of this, but the Creative Market consists of templates made both by the “Shakr Creative Lab” (Shakr Staff Designers) as well as external 3rd party designers. As of February 28, all 3rd party templates will be removed from the Creative Market.
However, we’re still investing in what will be called the “Shakr Template Library” going forward, with new templates produced by the Shakr Creative Lab. There are hundreds of templates available to you, with more coming soon! Over the last year we’ve created bespoke template for top brands and agencies like Publicis Group, Forever21, L’Oreal, New Balance and more and we’re excited to bring our best creative ideas to you in terms of new and exciting templates and collections.

Removal of 3rd party templates:
When we started Shakr we imagined a global community of designers that would contribute their templates to a marketplace where anyone could choose a template to make a video that helps grow their business, with the financial rewards being shared by Shakr and the designer. In an increasingly video first world, the value to businesses was clear. And through our partnership with third party designers, both Shakr and a global community of designers earned ongoing revenue share payments.
Unfortunately we were not able to grow the Designer Program to a place where we were satisfied with the impact of the program and it is with a heavy heart we’ve now decided to terminate the Designer Program.
This means that all templates created by non-Shakr designers will be removed from the Creative Market as of February 20. Any videos you’ve made with 3rd party templates will be editable up until February 28. If you have used templates created by third party designers in the past, please review the videos you’ve made and make any necessary adjustments and edits until then.
You can see if a template is a 3rd party template by opening up the template modal and reviewing which “Designer” the template is listed as. If the templates is under the Shakr brand, no changes will be made and the template will still be available after February 28th. If the template is under any other brand, the template will be unavailable to edit February 28th.
Templates designed by Shakr’s Creative Lab team has “Shakr” listed as the designer.
